lectures. Residents will be expected to
attend >80% of the scheduled lectures and journal clubs (not including
excused absences). If you are unable to
attend the lecture, please notify an administrative chief.

You will be expected to have
read prior to attending any lecture during the summer school sessions. You
should know about the topics and have read BEFORE conference begins.
a. A PGY 4 or 5 will be responsible for
giving 5 to 6 cases for discussion. They should be reviewed PRIOR to the
conference with the assigned attending. This will include a socratic forum with the PGY 1s answering basic
anatomy and PE questions with questions progressing =th
up to chief level questions.

Case Conference Cases-The resident assigned to
present should gather history, PE, lab and radiographic data regarding a pt for
each case. They should discuss this with the attending assigned to staff summer
school that week. PGY1s will be in the first row and the chiefs will be seated
in the last row. Questions will proceed from front to back. Everyone will be
expected to have read prior to discussing cases.
WEEK 1-Carpal tunnel/cubital tunnel; Scaphoid fx nonunion, SLAC wrist, Perilunate dislocation, Kienboch’s,
Flexor tendon injury, CMC degeneration, Flexor tenosynovitis
WEEK 2-Distal radius fx, Pronator
syndrome, Wartenburg syndrome, ulnar
impaction, radial head fracture, forearm malignant lesion
WEEK 3- Supracondylar humerus
